Trusted senior thought-partner who directly supports the BIA Hyderabad lead and manages multiple BIA teams. The pod lead will play an instrumental role in developing the new Hyderabad site, from hiring and cultivating top talent to pioneering new ways of working that can supercharge innovation and accelerate delivery to build and scale BIA capabilities. The pod lead should be an entrepreneurial talent who thrives under pressure, tight timelines & ambiguity though able to provide focus and clear priorities to their team. In addition, the pod lead will engage with senior stakeholders across BIA globally to help steer the new site to success.
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee the management of 50 people across multiple teams that provide global support to BIA's functional groups
Lead the hiring and training processes for the pod and play a key role in designing career development opportunities and creating a culture of connectivity and meaningful work within Hyderabad teams
Maintain close alignment of Hyderabad and global BIA priorities and standards by ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs and implementing ways of working that drive efficiencies within a global operating model
Engage in thought partnership with senior leadership across BIA to establish and develop the Hyderabad
Experience-
- BA/BS required (quantitative area of study preferred)
- MBA/other graduate degree preferred
- 6-8+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience managing/leading team(s) supporting global enterprise
- Experience building and developing teams from scratch
- Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment
- Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/ analytical information requirements
- Experience with forecasting/analytics, modeling platforms, data manipulation software and visualization tools (e.g,. SAS, Tableau, Microsoft Suite, MicroStrategy, Python, SQL, SAS, etc.)
Skills and competencies
Strong verbal/written skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with & strategically impact senior leadership
Strong project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams, influence cross functionally and manage a heavy workload
Strong creative problem-solving skills and business acumen, with the ability to identify key findings from disparate data sources to provide recommendations
Strong analytical skills with knowledge of qualitative design, data analysis, and applied statistics
