Director Delivery Management (Travel Mid-Office & Finance Applications | AWS)
The Director Delivery Management will lead end-to-end delivery and operational governance for Travel Mid-Office and Finance applications, managing 50+ professionals across Development (.NET & Java), QA, and Application Support. The role ensures predictable delivery, operational stability, cloud modernization (AWS), architectural governance, and business value realization.
What You'll Do
Portfolio & Delivery Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery across Development and Support functions.
- Lead 50+ team members across .NET, Java, QA, and Support.
- Establish SDLC, release, and change governance.
- Drive DevOps-enabled delivery transformation.
Business Alignment & Domain Governance
- Align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Provide executive oversight across transaction-heavy finance-integrated systems.
- Ensure scalability, compliance, and operational risk management.
Engineering, Architecture & AWS Cloud Governance
- Provide oversight for J2EE and .NET enterprise systems.
- Lead AWS cloud strategy and modernization initiatives.
- Oversee microservices, API-first architecture, and CI/CD enablement.
- Govern AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code and FinOps practices.
- Ensure high availability, DR, and security compliance.
Operational Excellence & Financial Governance
- Establish KPIs for service availability and release predictability.
- Oversee cloud cost optimization and budget adherence.
- Mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Serve as executive escalation point.
- Present delivery, operational, and cloud transformation dashboards.
- Align roadmap with strategic business objectives.
Financial & Workforce Management
- Manage multi-million-dollar portfolio budgets.
- Optimize resource allocation and productivity.
- Develop leadership bench and succession plans.
What We're Looking For
- 20+ years total IT experience.
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Strong J2EE enterprise architecture background.
- Oversight experience of .NET enterprise systems.
- Proven AWS cloud transformation leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science.
- MBA / PMP / ITIL / AWS certifications preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work in 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends as required.
- Must be willing to work from Bangalore office location minimum 3 days in a week.
