Job Description

IT Director - Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations

Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Noida-India

The IT Director - Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations will support and help manage enterprise-wide initiatives that ensure the security, reliability, and performance of IT infrastructure. This role is critical in supporting the cybersecurity strategy, infrastructure operations, and aligning technology services with business needs.

You will be reporting to VP IT, Enterprise Transformation and Architecture

Your Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Leadership

  • Promote a strong security culture within the security department, but also organization-wide across management and employees.
  • Be highly involved with IT security programs to confirm the company's systems are fully compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and privacy laws.
  • Provide support with strategic planning and daily initiatives.
  • Act as a key point of contact with senior management, global cybersecurity management and business unit stakeholders for cybersecurity-related communications.
  • Coaches and develops cybersecurity analysts, being a mentor to team members.
  • Accountable for the delivery of complex security systems, integration of those systems into myriad operational products, hosting environments.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and controls.
  • Collaborate with internal security teams to monitor threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Awareness of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, security and compliance

Infrastructure and Operations Management

  • Partners with functional leads in the design, deployment, and optimization of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud platforms, data centers, and end user technologies.
  • Provide oversight of operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems.
  • Assist in the Platform Engineering effort - guiding automation, self-service, secure software bill of materials, and modernization plans across infrastructure and operations.
  • Help drive the use of approved AI tools/platforms (i.e. Co-Pilot, Github, Claude, Windsurf) in the pursuit of autonomous infrastructure operations.
  • Partner with RA development teams in India to support and improve the Developer Experience in all lower environments.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with functional leads to develop and execute strategic roadmaps for cybersecurity and infrastructure aligned with enterprise transformation goals.
  • Help Rockwell improve Continuous Delivery practices wherever possible.
  • Partner with architecture and procurement teams to implement new technologies.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with AI concepts (machine learning, natural language processing, generative and Agentic AI) and their practical applications in IT.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals across security and infrastructure domains.
  • Advocate the teams throughout Rockwell in the pursuit of top-shelf Security and Platform Engineering capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, automation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams on AI-related initiatives or digital transformation efforts.
  • Continuous learning: The AI landscape is rapidly evolving, requiring IT professionals to continuously learn and curiuos to new technologies and advancements.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on cybersecurity and infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting modern software architectures in both development and production environments.
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity capabilities including Network Security, EDR, WAF, SIEM/SOAR, TLS, PKI, BC/DR, and Risk Management.
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management systems including IGA, PAM, SSO, MFA, and AD with important standards (i.e. OAuth, OpenIDC, SAML, SCIM, FIDO, etc.)
  • Experience or familiarity with key frameworks and certifications including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, SOC2, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT operations and security programs.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), enterprise networking, and security technologies.
  • Excellent soft skills , stakeholder management, and strategic acumen.
  • Thought leadership, development, and coaching experience and capabilities including goal setting, setting expectations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Professional Certifications in CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PMP.
  • Experience building strategic technology plans and roadmaps
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
  • And the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
