Role Summary:
We are looking for a Creative & Design leader to manage and drive BDO India's creative function end-to-end. This role owns creative strategy, concepting, and execution across campaigns and business priorities, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver impactful, brand-compliant creative solutions across mediums - digital, video, presentations, print.
The role requires a strong balance of creative leadership + hands-on capability, along with campaign thinking, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, competitor benchmarking, and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy & Campaign Leadership
- Own the creative strategy and design direction across service lines, solutions, and firm-wide initiatives.
- Formulating short and long term creative goals and strategies for the firm.
- Lead campaigns end-to-end: brief interpretation, ideation, concept development, design system creation, rollout, and optimisation.
- Develop and maintain creative frameworks, templates, visual language, and design standards aligned with the BDO brand.
Brand Strategy & Visual Identity
- Contribute to strengthening BDO India's overall brand strategy, with a strong focus on enhancing brand visibility and market presence.
- Drive a cohesive and differentiated visual brand direction across all channels to reinforce brand recall and premium positioning.
- Identify strategic opportunities to elevate brand perception through impactful design-led initiatives and integrated creative approaches.
Ideation, Innovation & Market Benchmarking
- Drive fresh ideas and concepts for campaigns, content formats, and storytelling across channels.
- Conduct competitor/industry benchmarking to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities; translate learnings into actionable creative recommendations.
- Build rapid prototypes, mood boards, storyboards, and pilots to help stakeholders visualise and approve concepts faster.
Execution Excellence
- Ensure high-quality outputs across presentations, digital assets, social media, video/motion graphics, proposals, print collateral, and internal communications.
- Review and approve creative work to ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and brand compliance.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Work closely with various stakeholders to understand their goals and objectives and develop creative concepts and campaigns that effectively communicate the message and resonate with the target audience
- Manage multiple concurrent priorities - define scope, timelines, dependencies, reviews, and delivery plans.
Vendor & Cost Optimisation
- Own the vendor ecosystem (design partners, video production, print vendors, freelancers, etc.) including evaluation, briefing, output quality, timelines, and commercials.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation through smarter production planning, reuse frameworks, template-led delivery, and vendor negotiations without compromising quality.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the design team - allocate work, guide creative thinking, build capability, and drive a high-performance culture.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, training, and team development programs.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Track creative effectiveness using defined KPIs (turnaround time, adoption, engagement/response metrics where applicable, stakeholder satisfaction, rework reduction).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in design /visual communication /communication design or related discipline. Master's degree (preferred)
