The Director & Professor will provide academic leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for the Amity College of Commerce & Finance. The role involves strengthening academic excellence, promoting high-quality research, enhancing industry collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of world-class education in commerce, finance, and allied disciplines.
The incumbent will lead faculty development, curriculum innovation, student outcomes, accreditation processes, and institutional growth aligned with the vision and mission of Amity University.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in commerce, finance, and related disciplines.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum aligned with industry trends and global standards.
- Promote interdisciplinary teaching and research initiatives.
- Ensure academic quality, teaching excellence, and learning outcomes.
2. Research & Publications
- Lead research initiatives and promote a strong research culture among faculty and students.
- Encourage publications in Scopus / ABDC / Web of Science indexed journals.
- Secure research grants, funded projects, and consultancy assignments.
- Organize national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
3. Faculty Leadership & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members.
- Promote professional development through training, FDPs, and collaborative research.
- Ensure faculty performance aligns with institutional goals.
4. Institutional Development
- Develop strategic plans for the growth of the college.
- Strengthen academic partnerships with international universities.
- Build collaborations with industry, financial institutions, and professional bodies.
5. Student Development
- Promote experiential learning, internships, and industry exposure.
- Support student research, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- Enhance student employability and career outcomes.
6. Accreditation & Compliance
- Lead accreditation processes such as NAAC, NBA, AACSB, or international accreditations where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, and other relevant authorities.
7. Industry Engagement
- Develop strong industry linkages for internships, placements, live projects, and executive education.
- Invite industry experts for guest lectures and collaborative programs.
8. Administration & Governance
- Oversee academic administration, budgeting, and policy implementation.
- Participate in university committees and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain academic discipline and institutional standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Commerce / Finance / Management / Economics / Accounting or related field from a recognized university.
- First Class in Master's Degree in relevant discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience, including:
- At least 58 years in academic leadership roles such as Dean, Director, Head of Department, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of research publications in reputed journals.
- Experience in curriculum development, accreditation, and institutional administration.
