Director Finance

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strategic finance leader who owns the end-to-end finance function and ensures financial discipline, strategic clarity, and forward-looking operations. This role is responsible for influencing decisions on resource allocation, fundraising, investment, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Build a single source of truth for business performance, unit economics, and growth levers.
  • Track revenue trends, customer behavior, cash burn, and runway.
  • Present actionable insights to leadership and influence strategic decisions.
  • Build predictive models using AI/ML for forecasting and scenario planning.

2. Strategic Finance & Unit Economics

  • Develop models for acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, churn, and revenue per user.
  • Analyze product/service economics, profitability, and ROI for initiatives.
  • Optimize investment allocation and resource efficiency across business verticals.

3. Fundraising & Investor Relations

  • Lead fundraising activities (growth-stage rounds) and investor communications.
  • Build pitch decks, financial models, and manage due diligence.
  • Manage cap table, ESOPs, and equity structures.

4. Accounting, Compliance & Treasury

  • Own P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, AR/AP, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Ensure statutory compliance across taxes, audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Manage cash flow, banking, treasury, and risk management.

5. Finance Automation & AI Adoption

  • Implement AI and automation for reporting, forecasting, and reconciliation.
  • Improve efficiency, predictability, and data-driven decision-making.

6. Strategic Leadership & Team Building

  • Partner with leadership to guide resource allocation, pricing, and investment strategy.
  • Evaluate M&A, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
  • Build a culture of rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement across finance.

Requirements

  • 1015+ years in finance, 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Expertise in FP&A, Accounting, Compliance, Treasury, Fundraising, and Strategic Finance.
  • Growth-stage fundraising experience (Series B/C+).
  • Experience with automation, predictive modeling, or AI in finance.
  • CA preferred; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
