INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Aon Captive & Insurance Management (ACIM) team is involved in Financial Reporting and Commercial Insurance business, Operations & Risk, Internal Finance & Life Actuarial Support.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Financial Reporting GCC Capability Leader to lead and manage client services for financial reporting operations within our Global Capability Centre. This role is central to our ambitions as we drive to deliver the very best client service across the industry.

This role will own and oversee key processes across the service life cycle including in domicile as well as GCC. The individual will be laser focused on client service excellence and will ensure we deliver accurate and timely services while driving continuous operational improvements as well as building team high performance. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with strong technical expertise, an expert in insurance accounting and have strong leadership experience.

The Finance Director will work in collaboration across various regions and domiciles to optimize ACIM Finance process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

18+ years of strong work experience into:

  • Managing the client engagement and/or independently running the large projects of Transitions or Delivery in Finance Operations in an offshoring environment.
  • Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting and Financial Controllership function.
  • Understanding of Financial Governance and Internal Controls.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders, managing working relations and providing excellent customer service.
  • Leading & successfully implement and partner in driving change in Operations and Operating Model.
  • Driving productivity & developing a culture of measurable performance by implementing Operations Metrics-Delivery and Performance.
  • Delegation and People Development.
  • Working on multiple regular and Adhoc projects and delivering excellent results.
  • Managing and developing teams of Finance Professionals and developing highly engaged/outperforming team.
  • Partnering in strategic decisions on Business Development and Operating Model
  • Responsible for managing and leading the multiple client engagement for Domiciles based in US, EMEA and/or Asia.

  • Managing and leading all the operational & customer service aspects i.e., SLAs, Service Delivery, People Management and Technology engagement etc.
  • Drive and implement the Change (People, Process and Operations) for the Growth, Stabilization, and effective Operating model in alignment with the organization.
  • Actively engaging with Domiciles and drive towards business growth.
  • Exhibit strong domain knowledge in resolving issues, implementing change, escalating, and dealing with Customers across Geographies.
  • Effectively planning, leading and managing the team of Finance Professionals with multiple layers of reporting. (Total org upto 15 to 25 colleagues).
  • Supporting the Head of Business with a strategic outlook and partnering in achieving the mid to long term objectives of the larger team.
  • People Retention & Development and working towards achieving high level of Colleague's engagement to build outperforming teams.
  • Constant endeavor towards the Budget and help manage the Budget.
  • Take ownership and ability to lead the Business, and act as a successor/back up for Head of Business.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Hands on experience to any Accounting Software / ERP (SAP, Oracle, People Soft) added advantage if exposure to SICS, D365 & E-Frame (IFRS-17) is available.
  • End to end understanding of the Finance function, and its integration with other areas, and Control framework.
  • Quality Trained and Project Management Certification is a plus.
  • Excellent working skills in MS-Office.
  • Hands on exposure on IFRS-17 or US-GAAP accounting.
  • Practical experience in Regulatory Compliance is an added advantage and will help succeed in the role faster.
  • Good Communication and Customer Service skills.
  • Collaborative and contributes in wider initiatives.
  • People management and development skills.
  • Influencing and negotiation
  • Strong background from Customer Service in F & A Operations with excellent subject knowledge preferably in Insurance Sector.
  • Good subject knowledge and previously served roles like Controllership, Management and/or Financial Reporting.
  • Finance Change/Project Management/Transitions experience is a plus.
  • Good subject knowledge and previously served roles like Controllership, Management and/or Financial Reporting
  • Small to large project teams and extensive interaction with internal and/or external clients.
