Job Description

Working in this discipline will see a Manager working fairly independently on engagements while managing teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project).

To qualify for the same a Manager will need:

To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience

To have a thorough technical knowledge of Tax, Social Security, FEMA regulations

To demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

To be well versed with MS-Office, presentation and report writing skills

Possess Team handling and Client handling skills

Have the necessary soft skills to demonstrate confidence and sophistication in interacting with senior level client personnel

Through knowledge of Tax laws and Double Tax Avoidance Agreements and other laws relating to global mobility (e.g. Social Security, FEMA, Immigration)

Basic knowledge of other provisions of Direct Tax is expected

Other prerequisite skills include:

- Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects

- Passion for client servicing - Ability to multi-task and have full control on deliverables

- Taking ownership of tasks to completion

- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Ability to manage engagement economics

- Good interpersonal and networking skills

- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills

- Being motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving

- Ability to manage and coach teams showing effective delegation of tasks

The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of a Manager will include the following:

Ability to analyse and discuss complex technical issues, gather relevant information from the client and offer solutions.

Independently finalising withholding tax computations, filing of individual tax returns, writing advisory memos for clients, provide on call advice, respond to technical queries, etc.

Independently handle tax assessments and represent before tax officials

Preparing and reviewing reports, memos, presentations

End to end execution of client deliverables ensuring quality and timeliness

Developing good rapport with client management teams

Responsible for the complete execution of the assigned engagements.

Effective implementation and review of work programmes. Updating the Associate Director/Director proactively on various work related issues.

Coordinating with Associate Director/Director on the planning and management of assignments.

Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed the client's expectations.

Overseeing the work of junior members of the team

Coaching/ developing junior members

Business development as may be delegated by seniors
