DigitalPaani - Service Manager - O&M (South)

Location - Mumbai/Karnataka

We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations across multiple STP/ETP plants, managing manpower efficiently, and ensuring technical excellence in plant performance. This role requires hands-on knowledge of plant machinery and processes, as well as strong leadership and organizational capabilities.

The candidate must be ready to work on-site, ensure smooth operations, and lead cross-functional teams while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi-Plant Oversight:

Manage and coordinate service operations across multiple plant locations, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and within compliance.

Manpower Management:

Supervise and guide plant-level teams, allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure performance efficiency across the workforce.

Technical Operations:

Monitor plant processes and equipment (such as pumps, blowers, clarifiers, centrifuges, and related systems), diagnose technical issues, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.

Maintenance Planning:

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all plants, ensuring long-term reliability and reduced breakdown frequency.

Problem Solving:

Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain records of operational parameters, maintenance logs, team performance, spare parts usage, and service summaries for internal and client reporting.

Client Coordination:

Serve as a key point of contact between the company and clients, ensuring service quality, timely updates, and addressing operational concerns.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all work is carried out following safety, health, and environmental regulations and company standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

B.Tech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

5-12 years of experience in multi-plant operations, preferably in STP/ETP or related industrial services

Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Hands-on technical knowledge of plant processes and equipment

Excellent organizational and work management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and travel to plant locations as required
