About the Role
The Digital Workspace Lead owns the enduser technology experience across all sites, ensuring reliable service delivery, robust asset lifecycle management, compliant procurement operations, and hightouch executive support. The role orchestrates ITSM/ITAM processes, drives automation and standardization, and elevates the digital employee experience (DEX) as a measurable outcome of workplace services.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enduser computing strategy in line with the organization's digital transformation agenda and infrastructure roadmap.
- Establish governance for endpoint security, collaboration platforms, and compliance, balancing cost, risk, and user experience.
- Govern technology usage, standards, and licensing; maintain policies and controls that align with business objectives and data protection requirements.
- Standardize enduser device baselines (laptops/desktops/mobiles/peripherals), operating systems, core software stacks, collaboration tools, and videoconferencing technologies.
- Define goldenimage configurations, patch/updates, and measurement baselines for performance, security posture, and user experience.
- Lead the digital workplace operations teams covering service desk, VIP/desktop support, A/V and meeting rooms, telephony, collaboration suites, IT service catalogue, and hardware/software inventory.
- Own operational and capital budgets for workplace technologies; optimize costs and enforce data policies.
- Publish and continuously improve the corporate IT catalogue of products/services with a clear roadmap aligned to business needs.
- Provide consolidated IT service support KPIs to leadership, ensuring SLA/OLA adherence and trend analysis for incident/request volumes.
- Mentor and develop the enduser support team; institute continuousimprovement cadences and documentation discipline.
- Manage full lifecycle of enduser IT assetsplanning, procurement, receiving, allocation, recovery, refurbishment, and disposalwith complete CMDB/asset traceability.
- Own and administer ITSM/ITAM tools and processes (catalogue, request, incident, problem, change, knowledge; asset and license mgmt.).
- Oversee procurement operations: PR creation, NFA coordination, serviceentry creation, GRN and invoice processing, and payment followups; assist in budget creation and tracking.
- Provide highpriority, discreet support for CXO/VIP users and their devices.
- Coordinate with HR for onboarding/offboarding activities across locations; ensure timely asset allocation/recovery and access revocation.
- Operate and enhance collaboration platforms and videoconferencing/meetingroom technologies; ensure consistent room standards and support readiness.
- Run endpoint management, patching, compliance policies, app distribution, and analytics.
- Monitor adherence to internal IT policies, audits, and regulatory requirements; address deviations with corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead automation initiatives (e.g., selfservice, scripting, autoremediation) to reduce MTTR and elevate the user experience.
- Align enduser services with broader IT initiatives (network, security, cloud, ERP) and business change programs.
- Govern vendor performance across hardware, software, and support services; ensure SLA compliance and timely renewals.
- Oversee contract administration: licensing terms, entitlement tracking, expirations, renewals, and procurement coordination.
- Lead RFPs and vendor transitions; benchmark services and pricing; maintain a healthy supplier portfolio with risk controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years in enduser services, IT asset management, or IT operations with demonstrable leadership of digital workplace teams and processes (including outsourced service desk).
- Proven executive (CXO) support experience with high professionalism and discretion.
- Strong command of IT procurement cycles and vendor coordination; handson with ITSM/ITAM platforms.
- Financial acumen for operational/capex budgeting; KPIdriven governance and reporting.
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices (incident, request, change, knowledge, and majorincident management).
- Awareness of DEX measurement approaches and satisfaction metrics; ability to manage a portfolio of workplace applications in a fastchanging environment.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries is a plus.
