About the Role
Gehi & Associates is a premier U.S. Immigration law firm, and we are looking for a highly creative and strategic Script Writer to join our content team full-time. Legal content doesn't have to be boring. Your primary goal will be to translate complex immigration topics, legal updates, and inspiring client success stories into highly engaging, viral-worthy video scripts for platforms like YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and TikTok.
Role: Full time role
compensation: 40k to 50k inr per month fixed.
Experience: 7+ years will be considered.
Timings: During afternoon/evening time IST - 4pm to 1am IST
Schedule: Monday to Saturday.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Short-Form Video Scripting (Reels/Shorts/TikTok): Write hook-driven, fast-paced scripts for 30 to 60-second vertical videos. Focus on trending formats, breaking immigration news, and quick legal tips designed for high engagement and retention.
- Long-Form YouTube Content: Develop detailed, well-structured scripts for long-form YouTube videos (8 to 20 minutes). This includes researching legal updates, outlining talking points for our attorneys, and pacing the video to keep viewers watching until the end.
- Client Success Storytelling: Interview clients or work with the legal team to draft compelling, emotionally resonant narrative scripts that highlight successful case outcomes (e.g., stopping deportation, winning asylum, securing a Green Card).
- Webinar & Podcast Outlines: Create structured outlines, engaging introductions, and Q&A formats for live webinars, podcasts, and virtual legal clinics.
- Ad Copy & Promotional Scripts: Write persuasive, conversion-focused video ad scripts to be used in paid campaigns (Facebook/Google Ads) targeting individuals looking for immigration services.
- Collaboration & Ideation: Pitch weekly video concepts based on current social media trends, search volume (SEO), and viral hooks. Work closely with the video editors, social media managers, and legal experts to ensure the final video matches the vision of the script.
Qualifications & Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Script Writer, Content Creator, or Copywriter, specifically for YouTube and short-form video platforms
- .A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to write engaging, high-retention video scripts (please provide links to videos or script samples)
- .Master of the hook—you know exactly how to grab a viewer's attention in the first 3 seconds
- .Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex or technical information (prior experience writing for law, finance, or B2B is a massive plus, but not strictly required)
- .Deep understanding of current social media algorithms, pacing, and what makes a video perform well on YouTube versus Instagram
- .Strong time-management skills to handle a full-day, 6-day-a-week schedule and consistently meet content production deadlines
