Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager

Client Location: UK

Working Days/Hours:Monday-Friday/9AM-6PM GMT

Contract Type:Full-Time Contract

Contract Term: 1 Year, Renewable

Monthly Compensation: USD 900-1300

Job Overview

Kuubiik is representing a UK-based AI healthcare simulation company targeting universities within the higher education sector. The client is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to own campaign execution, lead generation, and marketing operations for an early-stage B2B company.

This is a fully autonomous execution role. The successful candidate will work directly with the founder, who has no marketing background, and must be capable of managing the full marketing operation independently. A structured playbook, templates, and outreach sequences have already been developed. The priority is accurate, consistent, high-quality execution of that playbook - and the judgement to adapt it intelligently when situations fall outside the template.

Initial onboarding will include senior marketing consultant support. Over time that support reduces to zero. The person in this role must be comfortable reaching full independence and will ultimately be the sole marketing resource for the business.

This role is not suitable for someone who needs regular direction, sign-off on routine decisions, or close supervision to produce quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution and Lead Generation

  • Execute structured founder-led outreach programmes including personalised email sequences, LinkedIn connection requests, and direct messages - preparing all content for founder review and send
  • Manage outreach sequencing across multiple contacts and institutions simultaneously, ensuring correct timing, channel, and message per contact at all times
  • Build and maintain target prospect lists from provided data sources
  • Identify the correct contact per institution (most senior decision maker) and confirm channel approach before any outreach begins
  • Track campaign performance and produce weekly activity and pipeline reports without prompting

CRM and Pipeline Management

  • Maintain HubSpot with accurate contact records, correct pipeline stages, and up-to-date activity logs - updated on the same day any action occurs
  • Create and manage follow-up task reminders for every action taken so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Track lead progression across all active contacts and flag any contact requiring escalation immediately
  • Generate weekly pipeline, activity, and performance reports in a consistent format

Content and Collateral

  • Draft outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and direct messages that are personalised per contact, correctly framed, and appropriate in tone for a senior academic audience
  • Self-edit all drafts before submission - checking for factual accuracy, correct data figures, brand voice, and tone before anything reaches the founder
  • Adapt core templates intelligently per contact and institution - not copy and paste application
  • Coordinate case study development and distribution
  • Prepare marketing materials for industry conferences and events

Operations and Organisation

  • Maintain the outreach tracker accurately and in real time - every action logged on the day it happens
  • Maintain the activity calendar so the founder knows exactly what is happening, to whom, and when, every single day
  • Document all processes and update SOPs as the playbook evolves
  • Flag risks, delays, or quality concerns proactively - do not wait to be asked

Must-Haves Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in marketing roles with demonstrable B2B execution experience
  • Proven track record of managing outreach campaigns or CRM-driven lead generation independently
  • Hands-on HubSpot experience - contact management, pipeline stages, task management, and basic reporting (Salesforce or equivalent acceptable)
  • Hands-on LinkedIn Campaign Manager experience - campaign setup, audience targeting, ad creative management, budget monitoring, and performance reporting. This is a core requirement. The role will include paid LinkedIn advertising once client funding is confirmed and the person in this role must be able to run it autonomously without senior oversight.
  • Experience writing professional B2B outreach copy - email and LinkedIn - for senior decision maker audiences
  • Demonstrable experience working autonomously without daily management oversight

Skills

  • Exceptional organisational skills - this is the single most important requirement. The ability to manage multiple active sequences simultaneously, hit daily deadlines, and keep detailed records accurately is non-negotiable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets - the tracker is a core daily tool. Filtering, structured data management, and maintaining complex multi-column records are required from day one.
  • Strong written English - able to write in a professional, evidence-based tone appropriate for senior academics. Must be able to self-edit and identify errors before submission.
  • Marketing judgement - able to assess whether a draft is directionally correct for the audience without senior review. This is essential given the founder has no marketing background.
  • Proactive communication - flags issues before they become problems. Does not wait to be told something is wrong.
  • Self-motivated and independently driven - able to manage a full week's workload from a calendar and tracker without daily direction

Non-Negotiable Behaviours

  • Updates CRM and tracker on the same day any action occurs - no exceptions
  • Checks all data figures, framing, and signatures before any draft is submitted
  • Escalates responses from prospects to the founder immediately - same day, no delays
  • Never contacts two people at the same institution simultaneously
  • Never exceeds the maximum outreach sequence (2 emails, 2 LinkedIn messages per contact)

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in healthcare, education, or B2B technology sectors
  • Knowledge of the UK higher education market or NHS funding structures
  • Familiarity with academic buying cycles and senior academic audiences
  • Experience with LinkedIn outreach for professional services or education
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar)
