- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities and improve search rankings.
- Optimize on-page SEO elements: meta tags, headers, internal linking, and content.
- Publish and format blog posts, articles, and marketing content via CMS.
- Support link-building strategies and digital campaign execution.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and marketing goals.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Research audience questions and structure content in Q&A, definition, and step-by-step formats to earn featured snippets and People Also Ask placements.
- Implement and optimize schema markup (FAQ, HowTo, Article, Speakable) for answer engine visibility.
- Audit content for AEO opportunities and monitor featured snippet performance via SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Optimize content to be cited by AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Build E-E-A-T signals through expert-driven, well-cited, authoritative content that AI models are more likely to surface.
- Monitor brand presence in AI-generated results and identify content gaps; track changes in platforms like Google AI Overviews and SearchGPT.
Content Structure & Strategy
- Plan content with clear heading hierarchies, topic clusters, and pillar pages to establish topical authority.
- Develop content templates that embed SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices including summary sections, FAQs, and key takeaways.
- Ensure content is formatted for multi-surface distribution: web, voice, AI assistants, and featured snippets.
Website Maintenance & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Perform regular website updates and audits resolving broken links, slow load times, and outdated content.
- Monitor website performance and ensure responsiveness across devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with UX, design, development, and content teams to align technical and content strategies.
Qualifications
- 23 years of experience in digital marketing or website content management.
- Solid understanding of SEO tools and principles (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console).
- Working knowledge of AEO: featured snippet optimization, structured data (FAQ, HowTo, Article schema), and Q&A content formatting.
- Familiarity with GEO concepts and monitoring brand visibility across AI-powered search platforms.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Headless WordPress).
- Proficiency with web analytics tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
- Strong written communication, organizational, and project management skills.
