Position Objective:
To assist with and support PETA India's online marketing work including updating PETAIndia.com, creating content for social media, promoting posts, monitoring engagement and engaging with the public online.
Term of Employment:
Full-time including occasional evening and weekend work and being on a rota system

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with managing PETA India's pages on various social media platforms (Facebook, X, Threads, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn)
- Monitor and reply to comments on social media with approved responses several times a day
- Moderate notifications from all social media platforms frequently, including post working hours and during weekend shifts on days it is requested
- Stay abreast of online marketing trends and strategies and suggest ideas to enhance performance
- Help create social media content, including producing short video clips, creative images, and Instagram reels
- Attend various events to film, photograph, and produce content for social media
- Monitor and report performance metrics for social media campaigns using tools like Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Sprout social and native platform analytics
- Coordinate with influencers, collaborators, and partner organisations as assigned to amplify campaign reach and engagement
- Assist in crisis communication and reputation management by flagging sensitive comments or posts and escalating them appropriately and in a timely manner
- Support paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, ad creation, and performance tracking
- Assist with updating all forms of content on PETAIndia.com including blogs, features, videos and more using WordPress
- Maintain a content calendar and help ensure timely publishing of posts aligned with campaign goals and observances
- Use AI tools to create impactful graphics and videos, enhancing social media content with innovative, ethical, and brand-aligned visuals
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in a related field preferred
- At least two years of related work experience preferred
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, Sprout socials) to track performance and optimise content
- Excellent photography, videography, and video editing skills preferred
- Should know the basic knowledge of using AI tools for generating meaningful graphics and videos.
- Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA India campaigns
- Sophisticated understanding and appreciation of what makes impactful and visually appealing content for website and social media pages
- Proven skills and experience in SEO, SEM, and SMM preferred
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (essential) and in Hindi (preferred)
- Proven excellent project execution, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed for campaign responsiveness
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, especially for handling multiple projects and deadlines
- Creative mindset with attention to detail, especially in visual storytelling and brand alignment
- Understanding of ethical content creation, especially when using AI-generated media and representing sensitive issues
- Support for PETA India's philosophy and the ability to advocate for PETA India's positions on issues in a professional manner
