Job Purpose

The Computer Trainer will be responsible for delivering inclusive, hands-on digital skills training to specially-abled youth under Project Divya-Shakti. The role focuses on enabling participants to independently use computers, productivity tools, and basic digital applications in a supportive, empathetic, and learner-friendly environment.

Target Beneficiaries

Specially-abled youth (PwDs) from Jharkhand, including learners with locomotor, visual, hearing, learning, and mild intellectual disabilities.

40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliverslow-paced, hands-on computer training sessionsas per the Project Divya-Shakti curriculum
• Conduct training on:
• Computer basics, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Internet & email usage, cyber safety
• Introduction to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) as assistive productivity tools
• Useinclusive teaching methodologieswith 90% practical and experiential learning
• Build and maintainhealthy, respectful, and motivating relationshipswith participants
• Encourage confidence, participation, teamwork, and digital independence among learners
• Start and conclude training sessionson timeas per the schedule
• Conduct basic assessments, revisions, and learner support sessions
• Prepare and submitweekly and monthly progress reports, including attendance and learning outcomes
• Coordinate with the project team for smooth implementation and reporting

Educational Qualification

• BCA / MCA
• B.Sc. (IT)
• B.Tech (Computer Science or related discipline)

Experience Required

• 12 years of experience in computer training / teaching
• Experience working with youth or marginalized groups will be an added advantage

Skills Required

• Strong technical knowledge of basic computer applications
• Effective teaching and facilitation skills
• Patience, empathy, and learner-centric approach
• Ability to work with diverse learning needs
• Basic reporting and documentation skills

Language Requirement

• Hindi (mandatory)
• Basic English (preferred)

• Local travel, if required for project activities
