Job Overview

Connecting Cyber Networks is looking for a skilled and passionate Digital Forensics (CHFI) Instructor to join our team full time at our Andheri (East), Mumbai training Institute. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Digital Forensics, Cyber Crime Investigation, Incident Response, Evidence Handling, and CHFI course delivery. The instructor will be responsible for training students with both theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on skills required to build careers in digital forensics and cyber investigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, instructor-led training sessions on the EC-Council CHFI (v11) course curriculum covering all modules and labs.
  • Conduct practical lab sessions on disk forensics, memory forensics, mobile forensics, network forensics, log analysis, malware basics, and evidence collection.
  • Explain forensic investigation processes including identification, preservation, acquisition, examination, analysis, and reporting.
  • Help students understand chain of custody, legal compliance, cyber laws, and forensic documentation.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in digital forensics, cyber laws (IT Act 2000), incident response frameworks, and forensic best practices
  • Prepare and update course content, assignments, lab exercises, case studies and mock scenarios.
  • Mentor students preparing for the CHFI certification examination and support them with exam-readiness strategies
  • Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and practical assessments.
  • Support students in clearing doubts and building confidence in digital investigation techniques.

Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in digital forensics and cyber investigations.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Digital Forensics and Incident Investigation.
  • Good understanding of CHFI syllabus and certification topics.
  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools such as:
  • EnCase
  • FTK
  • Autopsy
  • Volatility
  • Wireshark
  • Cellebrite or mobile forensic tools
  • X-Ways or similar forensic tools
  • Knowledge of:
  • Disk Forensics
  • Memory Forensics
  • Email Forensics
  • Mobile Forensics
  • Network Forensics
  • Windows and Linux Forensics
  • Log Analysis
  • Evidence Preservation
  • Report Writing
  • Good presentation, communication, and classroom handling skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHFI certified preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as CEH, ECIH, GCFA, GCFE, or similar will be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a trainer/instructor is highly preferred.
  • Industry experience in digital forensics, SOC, incident response, cyber crime investigation, or security operations is a plus.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 to 3+ years of experience in Digital Forensics Training
  • Prior experience in delivering CHFI or related forensic training preferred.
