Role Overview: Digital Execution Tools Specialist
- Immediate openings are available in the UOP Lifecycle Solutions and Technologies (LST) business
- Responsible for ensuring quality, consistency, and standardization in digital project execution
- Supports scalable growth of digital offerings and tools
- Promotes a strong reliability culture by collaborating with software engineering, security, and architecture teams
- Reports to the Director – Digital Services Execution
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Digital Services engineering teams to develop and implement tools and processes for scalable, reliable, and quality digital tools/solutions
- Collaborate with digital development/engineering during design, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Maintain templates, version control, and drive standardization in tools and applications
- MVO Deployment
- Implement automation in infrastructure, testing, and deployment processes
- Own and develop additional technology artefacts (templates, tools, guides, checklists, etc.) after handover from development
- Support execution teams on a day-to-day basis for given tool/service
- Coordinate with Technical Specialist to create PM/PTA/digital tools development stories
- Ensure consistency and standardization of tools application
- Train/mentor new engineers
WE VALUE:
- Expertise in Process Simulations – Hysys/UniSim or Aspen Plus modeling
- Expert-level knowledge of refinery equipment
- Ability to read and troubleshoot Python or .NET code
- Understanding of Data Science and ML programming
- Ability to identify areas in digital services execution processes that can be automated and collaborate with teams to build automation tools
- Ability to test software tools
- Exposure to various UOP technologies
- Working knowledge of UOP digital services
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Computer Engineering
- 8+ years in tools development in Refining/Petrochemical industry, preferably with UOP technologies
- Strong foundation in industry-relevant tools
