Role Overview

We are looking for a Digital Editor to lead and own our digital content ecosystem end-to-end. This is a hybrid editorial + creative role- combining the rigour of journalism with the instincts of a digital storyteller.

This role is not limited to writing or editing. You will shape the editorial voice, guide story development, repackage journalism into digital-first formats, and ensure our content travels well across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.

You'll work closely with reporters, contributors, designers, and video teams, and be responsible for turning fashion business intelligence into engaging, high-impact digital content.

What you'll do

Editorial Leadership

  • Own the digital editorial vision across news, features, trend stories, interviews, and explainers.
  • Commission, edit, and refine stories for digital platforms with a strong emphasis on clarity, relevance, and industry impact.
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars aligned with industry moments, events, trends, and business cycles.
  • Maintain high editorial standards accuracy, depth, storytelling quality, and consistency of voice.

Content & Storytelling

  • Translate long-form journalism and research into digital-friendly formats: Carousels, Short-form explainers, Quote-led posts, Visual storytelling & Interview-led narratives
  • Experiment with new formats such as video explainers, podcasts, short interviews, and editorial-led reels.
  • Work with designers and video editors (or AI tools) to shape compelling visual and video content.
  • Think in terms of content IPs- recurring series, formats, and story franchises.

Social & Distribution Strategy(Editor-Led, not social media posting)

  • Shape how editorial content is distributed and framed across social platforms.
  • Ensure stories travel well on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Guide tone, headlines, hooks, and storytelling angles for different platforms.
  • Track performance and engagement, and refine editorial formats based on audience behaviour.

Team & Collaboration

  • Work with in-house writers, contributors, freelancers, designers, and video teams.
  • Brief teams clearly on story angles, content formats, and output expectations.
  • Collaborate with events, research, and partnerships teams to convert industry insights into content narratives.

What we're looking for

  • Strong editorial judgment with a digital-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to handle business, fashion, retail, sourcing, sustainability, or industry-focused content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Comfort working with creative formats- visuals, short videos, reels, interviews, and explainers.
  • Strong understanding of how content performs on digital & social platforms (even if you're not a social media manager).
  • Ability to see the bigger picture: content strategy, audience growth, narrative building.
  • Experience working in a media house, editorial platform, digital publication, or knowledge-driven brand.

Nice to have

  • Background in journalism, editorial roles, or long-form content platforms.
  • Interest in fashion, apparel, sustainability, global trade, or retail ecosystems.
  • Experience with podcasts, video content, or editorial-led social formats.
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, basic video editing, or AI content tools.
