Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Digital Content Writer role based in Coimbatore. The Digital Content Writer will create clear, engaging, and inclusive content for websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and campaign materials that support women's empowerment initiatives. The role includes planning content calendars, researching program activities and impact stories, and tailoring messages for diverse audiences, including beneficiaries, partners, donors, and volunteers. The Digital Content Writer will collaborate with program, outreach, and design teams to develop digital campaigns, refine messaging, and ensure brand consistency across all channels. Daily tasks also include optimizing content for online engagement, monitoring performance metrics, and updating content based on feedback and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong writing skills for digital channels, including web copy, blog posts, social media content, and email newsletters.
• Experience with content planning and basic content strategy, including creating and maintaining editorial calendars.
• Ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and transform program data and field insights into compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in editing and proofreading to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of tone and style.
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts such as audience targeting, SEO basics, and engagement tracking is an advantage.
• Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams and interviewing stakeholders, beneficiaries, and partners for stories.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Commitment to gender equality, sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, and an interest in the social impact or nonprofit sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience creating content in or for Tamil Nadu communities; proficiency in Tamil as well as English is a plus.
