Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Content Writer Digital role based in Coimbatore. The Content Writer Digital will create, edit, and publish digital content for websites, social media, newsletters, and campaign materials that reflect the organization's mission and programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting research on women's empowerment topics, drafting clear and engaging copy, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all content, and optimizing content for digital channels. The role will collaborate with program, communications, and partnership teams to develop content calendars, support outreach campaigns, and report on content performance. The Content Writer Digital will also help maintain brand voice, adhere to organizational guidelines, and contribute creative ideas to enhance digital presence and audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong web content writing and general writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different digital platforms.
- Experience in content strategy and research to plan, structure, and support impactful digital campaigns.
- Proficiency in proofreading to ensure error-free, clear, and consistent content.
- Familiarity with basic digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in or exposure to gender equality, social impact, or non-profit work, especially in the context of women's empowerment.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Tamil is an advantage.
