Job Summary:A Dialysis Technician is responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining dialysis machines used in the treatment of patients with kidney failure. They assist in administering dialysis treatments, monitor patients during procedures, ensure infection control, and support nephrologists and nurses in delivering safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:
- Prepare patients before dialysis treatment (weight, vital signs, assessment).
- Explain dialysis procedures to patients.
- Connect patients to dialysis machines as per protocol.
- Monitor patients during dialysis for complications or adverse reactions.
- Disconnect patients after treatment and provide post-dialysis care.
- Record treatment data and patient observations.
