Tendering Manager for Services Business

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is seeking a talented and driven Dy. General Manager- Tendering to join our dedicated team for service business tendering, you will play a crucial role in managing and submitting competitive tenders for service business driven brown field projects.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely cost estimates for projects. You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to team members while collaborating with other departments to streamline processes.
  • You will contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the estimation function to drive efficiency and precision.
  • Analyzing project requirements and technical specifications to develop comprehensive tender proposals that align with customer needs and project objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to ensure accurate and competitive tender submissions that showcase Schneider Electric's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Providing technical support and expertise during the tendering process, including addressing technical queries and participating in customer meetings as needed.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for tendering processes and tools, leveraging your insights and expertise to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure mastering all aspects of the offer: technical proposal, purchasing, cash flow etc.
  • Ensure consistency and interfaces from one package or project to another, with accounts previous experience including risks, T&Cs, set-up and hours, taxes, lessons learnt etc.

Qualifications -

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering. MBA would be preferred. 10 - 14 years of working experience is preferable. Knowledge in Relays and SCADA/Automation, LV/MV AIS/GIS Switchgear, Distribution transformers, Power management/Power Quality systems and Sub-station field.
  • Additional knowledge on Industrial Automation- PLC/Drive solution, Data Center IT infrastructure equipment e.g., UPS, Cooling solutions/ HVAC shall be preferred
  • Should be familiar with Digital solutions in Electrical Industry, service-related offers eg. Maintenance contracts, Asset management.
  • Good planning & inter-personal & communication skills and decision making
  • Previous experience in Marketing & Tendering of Data Centers, Electrical Distribution Substation Turnkey Projects.
