Role Overview
The Deputy General Manager Projects is responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large-scale civil and infrastructure projects. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while aligning with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and control of multiple large and complex civil projects.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and approve project designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical submissions.
- Manage contract administration, claims, variations, and cost controls.
- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Oversee site teams and ensure productivity, performance, and compliance.
- Prepare and present MIS reports, progress updates, and management dashboards.
- Support audits, inspections, and management reviews.
- Mentor and develop project teams and succession pipelines.
