Primary Title: Deputy General Manager - Operations (QSR)
About The Opportunity
Operating in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) segment within the Food & Beverage industry, this role leads nationwide on-site operations for a fast-scaling QSR operator in India. The DGM - Operations will drive end-to-end store performance, operational excellence, and margin delivery across multi-unit outlets while ensuring food safety, customer experience, and growth enablement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own multi-unit operational performance: set and achieve targets for service quality, throughput, and customer experience across the portfolio.
- Drive P&L ownership and cost control initiativesoptimise labor, food-cost, and overheads to meet margin goals.
- Standardise and enforce SOPs, quality checks and food-safety protocols (HACCP) through regular audits and corrective actions.
- Lead talent management for on-site teams: recruit, train, coach store leadership and implement performance metrics.
- Manage procurement, vendor performance, and inventory to ensure stock reliability and cost efficiency.
- Support store expansion and remodel projectscoordinate site readiness, operations handover, and launch playbooks.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven leadership in multi-unit QSR operations with track record of improving store KPIs and margins.
- Strong P&L management and cost-optimisation experience specific to restaurants or foodservice.
- Deep knowledge of QSR kitchen operations and front-of-house service standards.
- Hands-on experience with food-safety systems and HACCP implementation.
- Operational expertise in inventory control, procurement and vendor management for high-volume outlets.
- Familiarity with Restaurant POS systems and back-office reporting tools.
Preferred
- Experience with franchise operations, national rollouts or multi-city expansions.
- Background in operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) applied to F&B.
- Exposure to store rollout project management and real-estate coordination for new openings.
