DG Technician - for Lonavala Location

Job Description:

Job Summary
The DG Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel generators and associated electrical systems to ensure continuous power supply across the resort property. The role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
. Operate and monitor DG sets during power outages.
. Ensure smooth changeover between mains supply and generator.
. Monitor generator load, fuel levels, temperature, and performance parameters.
Maintenance
. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of DG sets.
. Conduct routine checks including oil levels, coolant, batteries, filters, and belts.
. Maintain generator logbooks and service records.
Troubleshooting
. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel generators.
. Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs or AMC services.
. Ensure minimum downtime during breakdowns.

Facility Support
. Support overall engineering team for electrical maintenance.
. Assist in maintaining power backup systems for guest rooms, banquet halls, kitchens, adventure park, and other facilities.
Safety & Compliance
. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and statutory regulations.
. Maintain proper fuel storage and handling procedures.
. Ensure noise and emission compliance standards are met.
Qualifications & Requirements
. ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
. 2-5 years of experience in DG operations, preferably in hotels/resorts.
. Knowledge of AMF panels and electrical control systems.
. Basic understanding of HT/LT panels is preferred.
. Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
