The DFX Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that products are designed with manufacturability, assembly, and testability in mind. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes to optimize product designs and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address design for manufacturability issues.
- Conduct DFX analysis to improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Develop and implement design guidelines and best practices for manufacturability, assembly, and testability.
- Evaluate prototypes and provide feedback for design improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation related to DFX processes and outcomes.
- Support product development teams during the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- 5-8 years of experience in DFX, design engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
