We are looking for a skilled DevOps with Data Platform Engineer with strong experience in OpenShift and Kubernetes, along with hands-on expertise in private cloud/on-prem environments. The role involves building, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure and data platforms, with a focus on automation, reliability, and performance.
Required Skills
Experience should have 12+ years DevOps with Data Platform Engineering (On-Premises & Cloud)
Strong Experience In
- OpenShift (primary skill): Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with: Python scripting, On-premises or private cloud environments.
- Good understanding of: Containerization and CaaS (Container-as-a-Service) platforms, Infrastructure automation and configuration management & Experience in data platform deployment and integration.
Preferred Skills
Experience with data tools such as:
- Airflow, Trino, Flink, Hive, DBT
- OpenMetadata, Superset
- Iceberg / S3-based storage systems
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience in Banking or Payments domain.
- Understanding on the SDLC.
- Understanding on the Agile methodologies.
- Communication with customer and producing the Daily status report.
- Should have good oral and written communication.
- Should be a good team player.
- Should be proactive and adaptive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision and manage infrastructure resources including compute, storage, and networking
- Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms
- Manage environments across development, testing, and production
- Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using tools like Helm and Terraform
- Automate deployment processes and improve system efficiency
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing (observability) solutions
- Manage backup and recovery processes
- Deploy and integrate data platform components in private cloud/on-prem environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as SRE, Security, IAM, and development teams
- Develop reusable templates and standards for infrastructure and deployments.
