Job Description

Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to support Paytm's diverse services.
Lead the automation of build, deployment, testing, and release processes using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health, performance, and availability of Paytm's applications and infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, ELK stack).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner, participating in on-call rotations as needed.
Optimize infrastructure costs and performance through efficient resource utilization and capacity planning.
Collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Implement and enforce security best practices within the infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Evaluate and adopt new DevOps tools and technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
Participate in architectural discussions and provide input on infrastructure design and scalability.
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Manage and maintain containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Document infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Participate in performance testing and tuning of applications and infrastructure.
Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
