Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Design: Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability, and security for the Digital Concierge App.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of infrastructure engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and ensuring adherence to best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage services like AWS ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and other AWS services to provide robust and fault-tolerant infrastructure.CI/CD Pipelines: Oversee the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment, updates, and automation of infrastructure.
  • System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and availability using AWS CloudWatch, optimizing resource allocation, and minimizing downtime.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI/ML and DevOps teams to integrate and scale AI-driven components (e.g., AWS Bedrock, AWS Lambda) and ensure infrastructure meets application demands.
  • Cost and Performance Optimization: Optimize architecture for cost-efficiency, ensuring system scalability and performance during peak traffic periods (e.g., FIFA events).Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards, including the implementation of AWS WAF, IAM, KMS to protect user data and maintain data privacy compliance (GDPR).
  • Infrastructure Automation: Drive automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or other IaC frameworks for consistent and efficient infrastructure management.
  • Disaster Recovery and Capacity Planning: Perform regular infrastructure audits, including capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in infrastructure processes and systems to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential: 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS.

Proven track record in leading teams and managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Expertise in managing and deploying infrastructure using AWS ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3, and other AWS services.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.

Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other monitoring tools. In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, including AWS WAF, IAM, KMS, and data encryption. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and resolve infrastructure-related issues quickly.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with product teams, AI/ML teams, and DevOps teams.

Ability to guide teams through infrastructure challenges and make strategic technical decisions.

Preferred: Experience with serverless architectures and tools like AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway. Experience in integrating AI/ML infrastructure components, including working with AWS Bedrock. Knowledge of AWS Shield, AWS GuardDuty, and other security services for proactive threat detection.

Experience in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and scaling solutions for handling peak loads (e.g., during FIFA events).

Exposure to AWS RDS, ElastiCache, and other database services for cloud-based applications. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
