DevOps Engineer in
India.
In this role, you will play a key part in managing and optimizing a large-scale cloud platform used by enterprise customers. You will leverage DevOps best practices to automate deployments, maintain high availability, and ensure operational reliability across multiple environments. The position requires strong collaboration with engineering teams, a focus on performance and uptime, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and monitoring tools. You will contribute to building robust systems that scale efficiently while solving complex operational challenges. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments and enjoy automating processes to improve both team efficiency and customer experience. Flexibility and adaptability are critical, as the role involves shift work and occasional on-call responsibilities.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain automation tools that improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable products for customers
- Monitor and maintain platform uptime, targeting 99.9% availability across all managed environments
- Lead projects to enhance infrastructure automation, monitoring, alerting, and internal tooling
- Support cloud-first initiatives, ensuring smooth onboarding and operational readiness for new customers
- Participate in Agile workflows and collaborate effectively with international development teams
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational best practices, including shift and on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional DevOps experience in PaaS or SaaS environments
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including at least 2 years of Kubernetes experience (Istio, Helm, Kops as a plus)
- Experience managing JVM-based applications at scale, including garbage collection analysis and heap tuning
- Proven ability to manage large-scale distributed systems with hundreds to thousands of instances across multiple cloud providers
- Familiarity with SaaS infrastructure and deployment models
- Proficiency with Python, Terraform, Golang, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms such as GCP/GKE
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and flexible shift schedules
- Acceptable background check
Preferred:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Loki and Rootly
- Knowledge of search platforms like Solr
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex cloud environments
