About Position:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating, and operating cloud-native platforms on GCP or Azure. This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Python-based automation while driving DevSecOps best practices, cost optimization, and operational excellence. The engineer will work closely with application, QA, security, and architecture teams and also mentor junior engineers.

What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP or Azure
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across dev, test, staging, and production environments
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation for infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and operations
- Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE / AKS)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or cloud-native templates
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
- Drive DevSecOps practices including security scanning, secrets management, and policy enforcement
- Perform production support, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with application, QA, security, and architecture teams
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to standards and best practices
- Ensure cloud platforms meet scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization goals
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud platform engineering
- Strong experience with GCP or Azure cloud platforms
- GCP: GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud Monitoring
- Azure: AKS, Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure AD, VNet, Azure Monitor
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins
- Proficiency in Python scripting and working knowledge of Bash/Shell scripting
- Advanced hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS or GKE)
- Experience with Helm, Kubernetes networking, and security concepts
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform (preferred)
- Experience with ARM, Bicep, or Deployment Manager is a plus
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud Monitoring, or Azure Monitor
- Understanding of SRE principles, SLIs, SLOs, and incident management
- Strong Git version control experience and familiarity with Agile/Scrum models
- Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Trivy, Snyk, SonarQube, or Prisma
- Experience with serverless platforms like Cloud Functions or Azure Functions
- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Cloud certifications such as Google Professional DevOps Engineer or Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
