Role Description

About the role

We're looking for a junior DevOps Engineer to help maintain and improve our development and deployment workflows. You'll work closely with developers to support CI/CD, servers, monitoring, and basic cloud operations, while learning best practices for reliability and automation.

Experience: 1 Year or more

Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (build, test, deploy).

Support deployment of applications on Linux servers (staging/production).

Help with server health checks, log analysis, and basic troubleshooting.

Maintain and update Docker images and containerized services.

Work with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure basics: compute, storage, networking).

Configure and maintain monitoring & alerting (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog).

• Assist in handling SSL certificates, domain/DNS basics, reverse proxies (Nginx/Apache).
• Manage access and secrets carefully (SSH keys, environment variables, IAM basics).
• Document runbooks and deployment steps for the team.
• Support backups, basic security patches, and uptime-related tasks.

Required Skills (Must-have)

Basic Linux knowledge: SSH, permissions, processes, systemctl, logs.

Understanding of Networking basics: IP, ports, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS.

Familiarity with Git and basic branching workflows.

• Basic scripting: Bash (plus Python is a bonus).
• Understanding of deployment concepts: environments, releases, rollback, uptime.
• Good debugging mindset: able to read logs, isolate issues, communicate clearly.

Good to Have (Nice-to-have)

Hands-on exposure to Docker / Docker Compose.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins.

Basic cloud familiarity: EC2/VPC/S3/IAM (or equivalent).

Basic monitoring: metrics/logs/traces concepts.

• Infrastructure as Code exposure: Terraform / Ansible.
• Kubernetes awareness (not mandatory): pods, services, deployments.
