DevOps Engineer

Brief Description

We are seeking an innovative DevOps Team Leader /Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team! This person would be taking over, as a technical leader, an existing team of DevOps engineers that is responsible for managing cloud platform automation, developing and operating CI / CD pipelines, performance, availability and reliability of our cloud hosted applications.

The Opportunity

As a DevOps Team Lead, your primary responsibilities would be for guiding the team through established projects to ensure successful outcomes and timelines. The team is responsible for managing cloud platform automation, developing and operating CI / CD pipelines, performance, availability and reliability of our cloud hosted applications.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for managing all cloud infrastructure from the point of project builds to production deployment. Your responsibilities on these systems will include but will not be limited to engineering, deployment, provisioning, and maintenance of the server infrastructure, as well as research and development to ensure continual innovation. As a lead level position, you will additionally be expected to offer guidance to junior members of the team, offer mentoring, and technical performance reviews.

Responsibilities

Architect infrastructure in AWS

Own and drive projects development to delivery

Work closely with software engineers and tech leadership to drive projects

Build and run production environments in AWS using Infrastructure as code methods

Orchestrate environment development using Terraform and Ansible

Build & Deploy CI pipeline automation to a combination of Kubernetes/Docker and VM based systems in AWS

Work closely with System Architects, Engineers, Product Managers and System Administrators to meet their environment setup and service automation needs

Develop processes to make DevOps as part of the engineering development, service deployment and operations lifecycle

Develop scripts for deployment, troubleshooting, automation, and regular maintenance

System monitoring & analytics

Regularly review work product and progress of team members to ensure best practices are being followed

Conduct team training sessions on technology and features used by Maruti

Provide guidance and mentor junior DevOps engineers

Comply with Company Information Security policies and procedures and report any incident that is related to information security
