We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud-native telecom workloads (preferably Mavenir IMS or similar applications). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Wind River Studio). You will play a key role in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native network functions (CNFs) in virtualized or edge environments, ensuring scalability, observability, and reliability across telecom platforms.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and optimize CNFs/VNFs across Red Hat OpenShift, Wind River Studio, or Kubernetes environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI, or Jenkins to automate telecom function deployments (e. g., Mavenir, Ericsson, Nokia).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible for repeatable, scalable infrastructure provisioning.
- Ensure observability and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and alerting systems.
- Work closely with network and platform teams to integrate telecom workloads (IMS, EPC, 5G Core) into cloud-native ecosystems.
- Collaborate on DevSecOps best practices, including container image security, RBAC policies, and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed environments, containers, networking layers, and orchestration platforms.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or Network Cloud Engineer role, ideally within telecom or mobile core environments.
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Wind River Studio, and Kubernetes.
- Practical knowledge of ArgoCD, Helm, and GitOps methodologies.
- Hands-on with Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), container runtimes (Podman, Docker), and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with NFV/SDN concepts and cloud orchestration for telecom systems.
- Understanding of telecom protocols (SIP, Diameter, RTP, SCTP) and network fundamentals (IP routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing).
- Exposure to 5G Core components (AMF, SMF, PCF, UPF) and IMS architectures preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in large-scale, distributed cloud environments.
