Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated
Junior DevOps Engineer (12 years experience) with strong hands-on skills in
AWS, Kubernetes, observability, and Infrastructure as Code.
You should have a good understanding of cloud fundamentals, cost optimization, containerization, networking, and security.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow into a strong DevOps/SRE engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Cloud Operations
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch).
- Optimise AWS configurations for cost reduction and performance.
- Assist in implementing cloud security best practices (IAM policies, KMS, SG/NACLs).
- Kubernetes & Containerization
- Work with Docker and manage workloads on Kubernetes (EKS preferably).
- Deploy, debug, and upgrade services using Helm charts.
- Implement best practices for clusters: autoscaling, resource limits, networking.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
- Write reusable modules and maintain version-controlled infrastructure.
- Use Git/GitHub workflows for IaC deployments.
- CI/CD & Automation
- Create and maintain CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins).
- Automate deployments, environment setups, and routine operations.
- Write automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Go.
- Observability & Monitoring
- Build dashboards, alerts, and logs using tools like:
- Work on improving system reliability and alerting.
- Cloud Networking & Security
- Good understanding of:
- Support implementation of Zero Trust, least privilege, and network hygiene.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
- 12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps/SRE.
- Strong practical experience with AWS (must-have).
- Docker & Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- IaC using Terraform.
- Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
- Bash + at least one programming language (Python or Go preferred).
- Good understanding of cloud networking, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
- Fundamental understanding of cloud security.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and cost optimization practices.
- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
- Exposure to S3 lifecycle, CloudFront, WAF, and serverless.

- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication and documentation capability.
- Ownership mindset and attention to detail.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent experience.
