Business Unit Overview
Working as a full time IT DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for following the technical direction and implementation of the enterprise DevOps engineering environment.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Have good experience on maintaining and monitoring of systems and engineering practices in the areas of Red Hat Linux / MS Windows (or) Azure Cloud along with CI/CD.
- Ability to analyze, develop, test, optimize and deliver solutions to improve processes and Infrastructure as code automation practices with quality
- Design, build, and manage application server environments (JBOSS, Weblogic, Websphere, IIS, etc).
- Support software product delivery, quality testing, feature development, and maintenance releases to enhance reliability and security.
- Maintaining and creating continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Automate software application deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
- Create automation to build, test and deploy applications using pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Managing SSL certificate creation, renewal and automation.
- Ensure integrity and security of systems through patch management
- Perform technical reviews of deploy guides, code and documentations
- Provide innovative solution to complex technical problems and drive towards solutions
- Learn, use and conduct technical trainings
- Mentor junior team members
- Effective communication across IT Teams
- Provide support on critical systems in an on-call rotation
- Ensure adherence to standards and policies of the organization
Required Position Qualifications
- Full Time Bachelor's degree
- 5-8 years of experience working in a DevOps administration and engineering in related information technology position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, disciplined and self-directed
- Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead projects
Preferred Position Qualifications
- Have strong experience in a DevOps-focused position or a software development background with an understanding of DevOps culture.
- Willingness to learn and perform tasks including deploying and supporting application servers, configuration management, and CI/CD tools.
- Working knowledge of software version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, Subversion).
- Familiarity with cloud computing (Azure), Atlassian product administration (Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket), and log aggregation tools (Splunk, Kibana - ELK) is beneficial
- Willingness to learn and adopting growth mindset
