We are looking for a Server DevOps Engineer with strong AWS experience who can manage deployments, environments, and the day-to-day reliability of our applications. You will work closely with architects and developers to build stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for web and AI-based products.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage AWS infrastructure for development, staging, and production environments
- Build and maintain deployment pipelines (CI and CD) for backend and frontend applications
- Manage servers, containers, and services, and ensure high availability and performance
- Implement basic security best practices, including access control, secrets management, and patches
- Monitor application and infrastructure health using logs, metrics, and alerts
- Troubleshoot production issues and work with developers to identify root causes
- Optimise cloud usage and costs where possible
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and standard operating procedures
Required Skills and Experience
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS or PostgreSQL on AWS, S3, Load Balancers, and IAM
- Good experience setting up CI and CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
- Comfortable with Linux server management, shell scripting, and basic networking concepts
- Experience with containerisation using Docker, and optionally container orchestration
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar
- Understanding of security basics on cloud, including least privilege access and environment separation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with developers and architects
Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Exposure to managing environments for AI or high-traffic web applications
- Experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and performance tuning
