About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and eager DevOps Engineer with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in supporting and improving automated deployments, managing cloud resources, and maintaining existing CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience with Kubernetes, serverless, and modern DevOps tools, with a passion for learning and contributing to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and execution of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Monitor and support infrastructure primarily on GCP (or other cloud platforms like AWS/Azure).
- Help deploy, monitor, and scale containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred) or using Serverless(CloudRun).
- Contribute to automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Ansible under guidance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Cloud Monitoring).
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to support code delivery and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Focus on maintaining security, stability, and performance in non-production environments and assisting in production.
- Manage version control and assist with branching strategies using Git/Bitbucket.
- Troubleshoot common build, deployment, and runtime issues in development and staging environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or similar technical role.
- Working knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, and basic concepts of Kubernetes (GKE).
- Foundational understanding of CI/CD automation and DevOps principles.
- Practical experience supporting or managing workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to or basic experience with Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform or Ansible).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloud Logging).
- Proficiency in Linux command line and basic understanding of network fundamentals.
- Basic scripting skills in Shell or Python for automation tasks.
- Exposure to ArgoCD and Helm is a plus.
- Familiarity with foundational GCP services like Compute Engine or Cloud Storage.
- Basic experience managing at least one database like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., firewall rules, IP addressing).
