Job Description

Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Gurgaon officen

Department: IT

Reports to: CTO / Head of Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple AWS accounts, deploying and maintaining cloud environments, and ensuring the scalability, automation, and security of our infrastructure.

This position involves working in a distributed international team, collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and security engineers across different regions. The successful candidate should have strong English communication skills and be comfortable operating in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Manage and optimize multiple AWS accounts, services, and resources (EC2, VPC, S3, EKS, IAM, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, Spot Instances).
  • Deploy new environments and infrastructure components for applications and internal systems.
  • Ensure scalability, cost-efficiency, and security across all environments.

CI/CD & Automation

  • Design, configure, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using Terraform, Helm, and Helmfile.
  • Continuously improve deployment workflows to ensure reliability, speed, and consistency.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, and OpenSearch.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize key system metrics.
  • Ensure proactive detection and resolution of performance or availability issues.

Security & Secrets Management

  • Administer and maintain HashiCorp Vault clusters, manage new services, and enforce access control policies.
  • Implement automation and infrastructure improvements for enhanced security and compliance.

Kubernetes & Containerization

  • Manage AWS EKS clusters (hybrid Linux & Windows worker nodes).
  • Support in-cluster services such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, SQL Server AlwaysOn, Redis, Nginx Ingress, cert-manager, and Kube Prometheus stack.
  • Maintain and upgrade Kubernetes components, clusters, and worker nodes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Deploy and integrate new tools and services for automation, security, and observability.
  • Contribute to infrastructure architecture design and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

Technology Stack

  • Cloud: AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, Spot Instances)
  • Kubernetes: AWS EKS with hybrid Linux & Windows nodes
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server (Linux AlwaysOn)
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, OpenSearch
  • CI/CD & IaC: GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Helm, Helmfile
  • Security: HashiCorp Vault, cert-manager, IAM policies
  • Services: Kafka, Redis, Nginx Ingress, Selenium, Moon
  • Other: Active Directory, DNS, Bash, PowerShell

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Proven experience with AWS Cloud (mandatory).
  • Proven experience with managed Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, or AKS).
  • Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD and YAML configuration.
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code principles.
  • Working knowledge of OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.
  • Scripting experience in Bash and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server administration.
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) — required for daily communication within an international team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hybrid Kubernetes environments (Linux & Windows nodes).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex distributed systems.
  • Experience managing Vault policies, secret engines, and dynamic secrets.
  • Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or other message-broker systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a global environment.
