DevOps Engineer

They provide expert services across areas such as health and safety, fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, working at height, and professional training all designed to support regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

Role overview

They are seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to lead their AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps capability. This is a hands-on role focused on building secure, scalable, automated environments and enabling fast, reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Own and optimise CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery.
• Embed security best practices across cloud and DevOps workflows.
• Improve platform reliability, performance and monitoring.
• Champion DevOps standards, automation and continuous improvement.
• Act as a senior technical advisor and escalation point within the Technology team.

Experience

Essential:

• 5+ years in a senior DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
• Strong AWS and Terraform experience.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline design and automation skills.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking and architecture.
• Experience supporting live production environments.

Desirable:

• Containerisation/orchestration experience.
• Exposure to regulated environments.
• Monitoring and observability tooling knowledge.
