Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer at Kiya.ai, you will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline our infrastructure, automate processes, and ensure the high availability, scalability, and security of our systems. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to every stage of the software delivery pipeline in a cloud-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers and IT staff to manage code releases and deployments.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to build and manage scalable environments.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place and functioning as intended.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for speed and efficiency.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to track application health and performance.
• Manage version control systems like Git, and facilitate code review processes.
• Promote and follow best practices for infrastructure and application security.
• Automate and improve operational processes for efficiency, such as configuration management and deployment automation.
• Work with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident management as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in a DevOps role or a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems, primarily Git.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, New Relic, Datadog).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Ruby) for automation.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and best practices for cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
