Role Overview
- Contribute to building and embedding DevOps engineering capability, culture and mindsets across the bank
- Drive technical and cultural transformation through progressive adoption of DevOps Centre of Excellence practices
- Partner with teams to ensure decisions are commercially focused and deliver long-term value
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach feature and platform teams to uplift DevOps maturity and capability
- Assess current DevOps technical capability and identify gaps across teams
- Design and deliver learning workshops, training sessions and capability uplift initiatives
- Demonstrate how to measure, visualise and optimise the flow and delivery of value using DevOps tools and practices
- Advise teams and the DevOps Centre of Excellence on appropriate DevOps capability improvements
- Provide structured feedback to enhance DevOps policies, standards, practices and tooling
- Ensure decision-making is data-driven, aligned to ROI, value measures and effective cost management
Required Experience & Capabilities
- Experience in portfolio management support roles with knowledge of different portfolio types
- Relevant portfolio or delivery qualification such as PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile or SAFe Portfolio Management
- Strong hands-on experience of at least 12 years working with AWS services and Terraform
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, NACLs and security groups
- Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using DevOps best practices
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation and platform enablement
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching and influencing skills across senior technology teams
