Developer for Linux Device using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

We are looking for an experienced developer to integrate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality into a custom application running on an Intel based Linux appliance.

The goal is to establish reliable connections with specific BLE devices (predefined whitelist), to extract and manged data, and provide persistent connections with third-party devices

Responsibilities include:

• Develop a background service or script running on Linux with the following functionality (and more)
• Auto-connect to whitelisted BLE devices when in range
• Fetch and relay data from connected devices
• Maintain a persistent and stable connection
• Provide clean, well-documented code and integration instructions

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Linux drivers, code customisation and preferably Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on Linux
• Proficiency with tools like BlueZ, DBus, gatttool, bluetoothctl, or relevant BLE libraries
• Knowledge of auto-connection and headless operation (no user prompt)
• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, or Node.js in embedded environments

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience integrating health/IoT BLE devices
• Experience working with custom hardware or SoCs
• Security considerations for Bluetooth data transfer
