Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role will provide hands-on technical support for end users, focusing on Windows-based systems and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and related software
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Windows environments
  • Assist with system updates, patches, and basic security practices
  • Support IT asset management, including setup and deployment of new devices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes
  • Document support activities, solutions, and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic technical knowledge of desktop support and IT systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows System Administration
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Prior experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
