We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support / Technical Support professional to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot computer and network problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and peripherals.
- Assist with setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates on systems and applications.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Train users on software applications and best practices for IT security.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repairs for desktops and laptops.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
