Description
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience providing technical support and expertise in troubleshooting desktop systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment for our users.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and profiles.
- Conduct training for staff on new technology and software applications.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in desktop support or a related role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and above) and Mac OS.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
