Job Description

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to deliver services in an environment that involves designing and implementing solutions incorporated with the best of breed technologies, frameworks, and best practices. This provides a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and have a deep commitment to deliver services to customers. You will be working with the latest Microsoft 365 offering products and services and will be responsible for Office 365 and SharePoint administration; providing End-user support, provide hardware and software support working in collaborating with the IT Manager to ensure operational security, Maintenance and Governance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• On premise and Azure Active directory support and maintenance
• User Administration and Security Management
• Ensuring the operational health of the O365, SharePoint online environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability
• Administration, support, and configuration of MS Office O365 for staff
• Maintenance/sustainment of existing client SharePoint sites and sub sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, and items)
• Maintenance, and sustainment of additional complementary functionality for customer sub sites, lists, libraries, and content
• Administer and support an enterprise-level Microsoft O365 emails and team's services/configuration
• Troubleshoot end-user laptop/desktop and cloud services consumed by end-users.
• Monitoring of system on premise and cloud based
• Laptop/Desktop setup and configuration
• Operating system hardening and remote support for operating system related issues
• Microsoft Cost and License Management
• End user VPN and other software client deployment, configurations
• General IT: End-user support and training for hardware and software MS 365, Teams, Outlook, and other basic software used by end users
• Training and educating end-users on O365 capabilities and collaboration tools (OneDrive, teams, OneNote, Outlook etc)
• Providing end-user support for all PC based hardware, applications and services
• New user setup and orientation including installing and configuring workstations, software, telephone services, network printing, etc.
• Maintain and provide support for all IT infrastructure including antivirus software configuration and management
• Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot OS, network, and storage related issues
• Operational Security, Maintenance and Governance.

Additionally responsible for

• Logical and physical controls of the company's IT system by providing, on a quarterly basis, documented assurance that access to computer resources (data, equipment, and facilities) is reasonable and restricted to authorized individuals. (Asset Management)
• Perform software upgrades and patches (bios, firmware upgrades, etc.)
• Troubleshoot various Office 365 issues including connectivity and mobility
• Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include Audit Log Reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings.

Qualifications

• Experience administering O365, Exchange, Teams, Azure Active Directory
• Experience with SharePoint environment
• Help desk experience and ability to provide technical and end-user support through remote tools
• General knowledge of networking IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, Firewalls.
• 3-5 years of IT experience.
