We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in India. This entry-level role is ideal for freshers looking to kickstart their career in IT support. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, helping to resolve issues with their computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist with network setup and maintenance, including Wi-Fi and VPN connections.
  • Document and track issues using ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution.
  • Train users on new software and hardware tools as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and DNS configurations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation and the ability to work in a team environment.
