Role: HVAC Designer (Design & Build)

Location: Bangalore/Delhi/Mumbai/Pune

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru/Delhi for an HVAC Designer. The HVAC Designer will be responsible for developing, designing, and optimizing HVAC systems and ensuring compliance with project specifications and building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Designing of HVAC systems including:

Concept design

DBR preparation

Ducting layouts

Chilled water piping

Condenser water piping

Refrigerant piping

Equipment layouts

Plant room layouts.

Typical detail layout

AHU room design

Indoor unit location standard.

Acoustic layout along with sound attenuator.

Develop detailed GFC drawings, coordination drawings, and approval on shop drawing and as-built drawings.

Review HVAC design drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, BIM teams, and other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting).

Ensure clash-free drawings through coordination meetings and model reviews.

Guide and supervise Revi MEP / CAD designers and draftsmen.

Maintain drawing standards as per project specifications and company QA/QC procedures.

Participate in technical discussions with consultants, contractors, and clients when required.

Ensure timely submission of drawings as per project schedule and updating the drawings based on site changes and client/ consultant comments.

Attend meetings with clients and collaborate with project teams and vendors to achieve efficient and sustainable design solutions.

Experience in commercial or corporate building projects is desirable.

Technical Skill

Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD

Navisworks (for clash detection)

HVAC system design principles and robust understanding of systems

SMACNA / ASHRAE standards

Local authority regulations

Equipment selection and layout planning

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills

Ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and optimize designs for energy efficiency.

Meticulous with strong critical thinking skills and technical acumen.

Qualification & Experience

8+ years of experience in HVAC designs for corporate and commercial interiors.

Diploma / bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with knowledge of relevant HVAC standards
