Designer/Developer/Analyst of Cured Tire or Track or System Level 1

Mission:
To leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to optimize tire design and performance while ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. As a vital part of the tire development process, the analyst will participate in knowledge sharing, mentorship, and global collaboration. The role will focus on enhancing simulation practices, fostering innovation through the development of new tools, and contributing to the digital transformation of the organization. Our mission is to drive excellence in tire engineering by combining technical expertise with a commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to meet evolving business demands.

Key Expected Achievements

  • Analysis & Evaluation: Analyze, Evaluate and Synthesis results in DE, DV/DR meetings with partners + to identify potential improvement areas and optimize designs to enhance performance, while respecting the Design rulesand complying to the Michelin quality system and associated constraints.

  • Modeling & Simulation: Perform pre-processing, meshing, finite element modeling, post processing (static, linear, non-linear, thermal, dynamics etc.).

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, document findings, and present results to designers /project teams.

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (WW Analyst, Design, Green, PM, manufacturing) to ensure project success.

  • Tools and Methods Contribute to developing and improving simulation procedures and tools.

  • Progress: Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement. Growth oriented approach to consistently seeking improvements to products, process and skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering / Automobile Engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, structural analysis, and finite element theory.

  • Behavioral Skills: Problem-solving, Analytical thinking, Continuous Learning, Leading Change and Communication skills.

  • Software Proficiency (preferrable): Experience / Exposure with CAD, CAE tools and Programming in Python / VBA / Scripting
